I don't know if something was going on or if it was just spring break for the entire state of Nevada, but there were a TON of children everywhere. When we called down to make a complaint, no managers were available!!! 6. We ordered room service, the waitress wheeled it in to us and didn't set up the table for us (like we knew how it went, but figured it out), didn't bring us napkins, and was completely rude when asked about the napkins. They had made another mistake at the front desk. When we finally checked into our room, the bride had blocked out a number of rooms on the floor that they were staying on, so that everyone could be near eachother, we ended up seven floors above their rooms. Not to say that Casear's wasn't beautiful, it was just a huge hassel to pack all of your stuff up and go across the street to lay out in the sun! 4. On Wednesday, the pool was closed and we had to go to Casear's Palace. Something that no bride wants to hear on their weddint day!! 3. This call was made less than 2 hours before the wedding. When she called her back, she stated that everything was fine and that she had worked it out. Since they had a culinary expo going on in their courtyard, they wanted to move the wedding in doors instead of having the wedding outdoors, which is the only reason my friends decided to stay there. The day of the wedding, the wedding planner called my friends room and told her that they had a problem with the wedding and to call her back. The only problem with that is, when our friends came back to their room, their keys didn't work, because when we got our key it deactivated theirs! 2. So since my friend had added her to the room, she made a key for us. When we went to the front desk, the first woman stated that her computer was running a little slow and to move to the next window for help! Then when we explained the woman (she had her - switch turned on) that we didn't need the computer, we just needed to pick up the envelope with our key in it, she stated that there was nothing there for us. She called us and specifically told us that she had done that so we didn't have to wait for them to get back from dinner. Our friend left a key for us at the front desk so we could put our things in their room. As soon as we got there, we experienced problems. We decided to stay at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino because they were getting married there. I traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada for a wedding of my friend. Some people we spoke to were really annoyed as they were only staying for a couple of nights and had come mainly for the sun and the pool. I feel that the hotel should tell people when they book that the pool may be closed. Twice while I was there the pool was closed once early for a function and secondly closed all day for another function we were given the option of using the pool at Ceasars Palace on the day of complete closure which we did it's an awesome pool but again really busy. If you arrived after 10.00am you were involved in the hunt for a vacant chair sport. The pool area itself is lovely but really busy it opens at 9.00am and this is strictly enforced no towels on chairs before that time so by 8.30 there was a line of people clutching towels waiting to get chairs. My only real problem with the hotel was the pool. Can't comment on the restaurants because I did'nt use any of them but the lines for coffee and snacks at the Java Coast were ridiculous. The room was very clean although the furnishings were old and a bit battered but I did'nt have a problem with this. Stayed at the Flamingo April 7th to April 16th the airport check in went fairly smoothly - asked for a nice room and got one (twentieth floor pool view).
